Experience. Leadership. Commitment.

Vote Mark Price for Hancock County Sheriff on March 19, 2024.

Why Vote for Mark Price?

As a dedicated candidate for Sheriff, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to your safety and the security of our community.
Background and Qualifications

Raised right here in northwest Ohio, I’ve called Hancock County home for the past 25 years. Currently serving as Captain in the Sheriff’s Office, I’m the only non-retired candidate and also uniquely qualified to ensure a seamless transition for continued leadership.

Financial Responsibility

Your tax dollars matter, and I am committed to fiscal responsibility. With a proven track record of overseeing major projects that save money, add new technologies, and support our deputies, I bring a strategic approach to managing projects and navigating the county budgeting process.

Safety and Transparency

Ensuring your safety is paramount. I will add body cameras for our deputies to enhance transparency, evidence quality, and safety. Drawing on my experience securing grants, I’ll work closely with the Hancock County Commissioners to support this initiative with matching funds.

Investing in the Future

I believe in investing in the future of the Sheriff’s Office by developing and retaining top talent. The recently launched Cadet program is a testament to this commitment, providing interested candidates with training and qualifications, ultimately benefiting Hancock County.

Community Engagement

Preserving the greatness of Hancock County requires a collaborative effort. I am dedicated to leading the Sheriff’s Office in enforcing laws and collaborating with various agencies to address issues such as mental health, domestic violence, drug rehabilitation, homelessness, and more. Our community policing program will see expanded engagement, including youth and adult educational programs.

My Vision

My vision is rooted in being smart with your money, fostering growth, prioritizing safety, and maintaining community input and involvement. With your support and vote on March 19, 2024, we can continue making Hancock County a great place to live, work, and raise a family together.

About Mark Price

For more than 25 years, I’ve dedicated myself to serving our community. From my career at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office to my volunteer service as Chief of the Vanlue Fire Department, I have believed that a community thrives when people know dedicated professionals are committed to providing the safety and security they count on daily.

I’m a 1998 The University of Findlay graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I went on to further my law enforcement education, graduating from the Ohio Peace Officer Academy at Owens Community College in 1998. That same year, I began my career as a Corrections Officer at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

While at the Sheriff’s Office, I’ve received numerous advancements and promotions, and I am currently serving as Enforcement Captain. I’ve had the privilege of working in enforcement and administration, and that varied background and experience make me uniquely qualified to become the next Sheriff of Hancock County.

My family and I are proud to call Hancock County our home. I look forward to continuing to serve our community and keep it a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
